1.Manage profitable revenues through:
a.Daily review with the team to track the status of production, availability of RM, manpower availability, to check for deviations and to provide necessary assistance to resolve the issues, if any
b.To review & provide technical support to operations team for productivity enhancement, de-bottle necking and improving KPIs
c.To ensure execution of production programme as per requirement at different stages of production cycle.
d.To finalize optimum & efficient utilization of all plants
e.To assign plant utilization to the different plants in order to get quality product with available infrastructure
f.Implement best shop floor practices like TPM / TQM/ 5S/ Kaizen / to drive the business towards GPTP
2.Ensure Quality Product:
a.Review & develop quality checks, norms & controls at different stages of manufacturing (Raw Material & Finished Goods)
b.To initiate & co ordinate with R & D and brand team for quality improvement projects.
c.To ensure up gradation of infrastructure to meet the market requirement
d.Ensure zero quality complaints
a.Monitoring monthly / quarterly / yearly business plan and execution of the same
b.Monitoring breakdown trend and plan for development / up gradations for repetitive failures of machine
c.Monitor cycle time for the operation of all critical machines and plan for up gradations
d.Custodian of SHE
4.Monitor quality related issues
a.Monitor quality related issues & take corrective and preventive action
b.Monitor daily rework & rejection and take appropriate action
c.Address sourcing related issues by initiating follow up with SCM team
d.Co ordinate with Projects team for up gradation of existing infrastructure & availability of latest technology.
e.To co ordinate with R & D Business Partner for modifying existing processes for new raw materials & validation of new products
5.Budgetary Control and Monitoring
a.Prepare / monitor annual budget of business
b.To optimize plant utilization for best possible utility consumption.
c.To upgrade existing processes for reduction in utility consumption.
d.To ensure control of process parameters to improve yields at different stages of operations.
e.Ensure nil overtime, high manpower productivity and optimum deployment of available manpower
6.Compliance with TQM/ TPM systems
a.To ensure progress of TQM & TPM activities of the department as per road map.
b.To ensure compliance of quality & environment management systems pertaining to operations.
c.To initiate & form task force teams for various improvement projects.
d.To ensure regular self improvement programmes for appraisal & up gradation of manufacturing norms.
e.To conduct regular shop floor meeting with workmen for sharing business expectation.
.Conduct regular meetings on productivity monitoring, maintenance and quality related issues
c.Identify training needs and monitoring training of trainees
d.Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to direct reports
e.Plan and review performance of direct reports and provide developmental inputs
